Florida Aquarium Wedding Tampa | Brianne + James
Brianne + James definitely had one of the most unique and special events we have photographed. Spoiler alert! There were sharks AND a sloth in attendance! Got your attention?! Let’s dive in then! (Ha see what I did there? #aquariumhumor)
The pair got ready separately at The Hampton Inn Channelside in downtown Tampa with their families. Brianne’s dress from Nicole Maree Bridal is so stunning. Her handmade crown shaped headband truly made her into a princess and looked so amazing with her hair. Plus Brianne is a girl after our own heart with her Rifle Paper Co floral Keds that will kept her comfy all night long.
Brianne had beautiful embroidered handkerchiefs for her mom and dad that kinda had all of us misty. So special.
Then it was time for Brianne + James to exchange gifts so to save their first look for when Brianne came down the aisle, they called each other to open them at the same time. These beautiful table top roll playing game dice frequently used in Dungeons and Dragons represented so much to them and for the gaming folk, you know how killer these are!
Brianne + James' ceremony and reception were hosted by the Florida Aquarium in Tampa, FL. This venue has such amazing light that filters through the water and we loved the dramatic ceiling lights that made Brianne+James look like stars. The best part is you never know what sea creature will be floating along in the background. Love the special touch of how the aquarium staff hit the bubbles to form this curtain behind the bride and groom as they have their first kiss.
Ok, so this now is the part that made us squeal just a bit! The Aquarium’s slowest guest arrived! Their sloth 🦥 was brought in pictures and then for the cocktail hour!!! He was happy to munch on some snacks and pose for a few photos with the bride and groom.
The bouquets from Marigold Flower Co were full of blush roses, plum calla lilies, dahlias and eucalyptus keeping with their plum and sage color palate, the colors of coral seen through water.
Guests were delighted with all of the seafood and amazing dishes!
Since Brianne + James are such big gamers, it was totally fitting that they incorporated board games into their reception for their guests to enjoy. And we loved the wooden hearts for guests to leave a message for them.
After photos Brianne + James entered the reception and did their first dance, Brianne danced with her dad and then the pair sliced their cheesecake from Bassano Cheesecake.
