Tara+Nick Tie the Knot (Literally) | Yacht Starship Wedding Cruise
We had a blast photographing Tara+Nick’s cruise ship wedding in Tampa Bay Harbor aboard the Yacht Starship. The weather was perfect, slightly overcast and the wind minimal. The Yacht Starship weddings are so great for couples because their packages are all inclusive so all you have to do is show up and they throw a great party.
Tara and her girls got ready at the Marriott Waterstreet Downtown Tampa and were pampered by the Loft Hair Studio and Michele Renee the Studio. These ladies had a roaring good time! We loved the hanky that they gifted Tara! So great!

Tara’s heels blew our mind!

Nick and the guys also got ready at the Marriott Waterstreet Downtown Tampa and had equal amounts of fun. I’m not sure we have ever laughed so much with a group of groomsmen!

Keep scrolling to see this guy in action. 😂

Once all the guests were onboard the Yacht Starship, we set sail and the ceremony started. The groomsman from earlier in this post was tasked to be “flower guy” and took his petal tossing job VERY seriously much to the delight of all of us!

Vows were read, guests got misty in between laughs and it was lovely! The captain of the ship officiated and we all got a Love Boat vibe. He even had Tara+Nick twist nautical rope officially tying the knot!

Tara+Nick are huge Tampa Bay Lightning fans and were so excited that they could fly a team flag at the bow of the ship. They definitely wanted to make sure we had the flag in their portraits which we were only too happy to oblige.

The reception was set up below deck and of course embraced a nautical theme in the table decor.

The pair also made sure there was a sweet memorial table for family no longer with us.

Super cute cake from Alessi Bakery

Check out the unique “guestbook”. These will look great mounted in their home.

The party really got started after the sun went down. Tara + Nick’s guests were as fun as the couple they were celebrating which meant everyone was on the dance floor.

When we finally pulled into the dock, everyone lined up with sparklers to wish the bride and groom luck as they headed off to start their new married lives together. Congrats you two!
