Rialto Theatre | Valerie & Robert Wedding
February 29th falls on a Saturday once every 28 years except when a year evenly divisible by 100 is not a leap year like 2100. I looked it up because I was curious! 2.29.20 Val and Bob had the most beautiful day at the Rialto Theater. Val’s gown was super unique, she custom ordered in online from Wear Your Love. They are a ecological-conscious company that makes the dress to your exact measurements and direct ships it right to you. Val and her sister got ready at a super cute condo right downtown Tampa. She and Bob love Harry Potter and so we put their rings on the chapter titled “The Unbreakable Vow”. The emerald green, white and succulent bouquets, and custom suits that Bob and his best man wore really I think showed their unique and awesome style.
Before the ceremony we headed over to University of Tampa for first look with the Sticks of Fire sculpture in the background. I always love that moment when they turn around and see each other it’s such a priceless moment every single time! We had to include their sweet pup Patty in some! She had on a cute floral collar of course. The Rialto Theater is in the heart of downtown Tampa so we did their photos at UT and the Tampa Postcard Stamp to go along the Tampa vibe.
When you walk up to the blue doors at the Rialto Theater you know it’s going to be a cool space inside. The ceremony was right there setup in an arc which made for a really unique ceremony setup. My favorite part of their ceremony was that for one of their readings. Their friend went up, recited perfectly and in all seriousness the part about “mawwiage” from The Princess Bride and then he sat down and didn’t miss a beat! It was awesome and hysterical! After the ceremony we made it over to the dock by Armature Works for some of that beautiful light at dusk.
We LOVE working with great wedding planners/designers and Staci and her team at Unique Weddings and Events made the day flawless!! The reception was setup family style under the twinkle lights with tall greenery and succulents created by Monarch Events and Design. They were so perfect looking they almost didn’t look real! To go along with the Theater, the guests each had a ticket with their place setting. Val and Bob just wanted to super simple cake and it was topped with giant gummy bears dressed as a bride and groom. The band leader was actually a teacher of Bob’s growing up and they had become friends over the years so it was extra special that they could be there. Thinking back to such a short time ago when friends and family could travel from anywhere to be together, Val and Bob’s favorite people traveled from all over to celebrate with them. Thank you guys for the honor of having us be a part of it, so amazing and fun! xoxox
