{Jillian & Lee @ Isla Del Sol}
I love the color palette Jillian and Lee chose for their waterfront wedding. The guys wore different shades of blue ties to match each of the bridesmaid’s dresses. They also wore some pretty fantastic socks, the guys that is:-) The forecast said 100% chance of rain but there was not a drop to be seen! They had steel drums playing tropical island music, and sunglasses for all their guests to wear. Jill's Mom, Betsey, drew the photos of each member of the bridal party to decorate their program which was also a fan. During the ceremony Jillian and Lee tossed shells into the ocean, then for the recessional all the bridal party and guests did as well. Jillian and Lee had a little surprise for the bridal party. Before the wedding, they had buried a bottle of whiskey on the beach. After the ceremony they dug it up and shared a swig with their bridal party. The ballroom was beautifully decorated with hues of blue. The tables had glass vases with beautiful flowers and floating candles. The tables were each named after their favorite movies..."Meet the Parents, Father of the Bride, The Hangover, Bridesmaids, I love you Man, etc...." Jillian and Lee met while getting their PhD's in Mathematics at University of Florida, but Jillian is from Ohio (Cleveland to be exact:-) so there was a little north and south rivalry with some O-H-I-O ing and gator chomping! Gerry, Jill's Dad, gave a beautiful toast to his daughter and new son in law. The groom's cake may have looked just like a UF Gator cake, but Jillian sneakily had it made with Ohio State colors on the inside. Lee was quite surprised to see scarlet and gray layers when they cut it! It was the perfect and most fun day! Congrats Jillian and Lee! xoxoxo
