Angell & Jared
Keel & Curley Winery is where Angell & Jared shared their 3rd date so it’s a meaningful place for them, and the perfect place for their engagement session! The staff there was so nice to allow us to photograph them on their beautiful property! Angell shared their engagement story with us and it’s so sweet, we had to share!
“We both grew up in small towns in central Pennsylvania that were less than an hour apart! Since we visit home for the holidays, Jared thought getting engaged in our home state would make it a memorable event and also allow us to celebrate with family! Timing was critical because Jared needed to speak with my parents before popping the question. Jared knew I was a Penn State grad and had been a tour guide while I was in school. Jared wasn't too familiar with the campus so he asked me to give him a tour during our Christmas 2014 trip home. Jared said it would "help him learn more about a place that was special to me". Of course there was another motive! We arrived at my parents' home for the holidays on 12/22 and on 12/23 Jared asked my parents if he could marry me. They were very excited to give their blessing. Later that day, even though it was dreary and cold, I took Jared around the Penn State campus. One of the last stops was the Lion Shrine -- a statue of the Nittany Lion and popular photo spot. There was a couple there taking photos and we asked them to take one of us too. After a couple of photos, Jared got down on one knee and proposed. My first response was, "Does my dad know?!" Jared put me at ease by saying yes your dad knows, and then he said, "Well, what's your answer?" I was stunned and smiled ear to ear and said YES! We celebrated with a shared milkshake at the popular Penn State University Creamery.”
