Dusty Blue and Navy Armature Works Wedding | Shelly + Jon

What better day to celebrate Shelly and Jon’s wedding story than today, during The Reception bridal open house at Armature Works? This event is one of our favorite shows of the year because it’s where so many incredible love stories begin—including Shelly and Jon’s! I first met Shelly at this very show in 2022, and I can’t wait to see who I’ll meet today and what new stories I’ll get to tell in the years to come. Today is also Shelly’s birthday, happy happy birthday!!

Shelly and Jon’s wedding was more than a celebration; it was a beautiful merging of two families into one. Their day was filled with moments that brought smiles, laughter, and happy tears. We kicked things off with a first look outside Armature Works’ iconic red brick building, which made the perfect backdrop for wedding party photos. Shelly’s choice of dusty blue and navy was stunning, and when paired with the florals, it created an elegant and timeless look that even matched their stationery perfectly!

The ceremony was filled with so much love, and you could see the joy radiating from Shelly as she walked back down the aisle with Jon. The emotions hit hard after the ceremony when Shelly was overwhelmed by the love surrounding her—there were plenty of happy tears to go around!

One of the highlights of the evening was Shelly’s epic first dance moves. She surprised everyone with a little impromptu routine, busting out some serious moves that had everyone cheering! It was a perfect reflection of her fun and vibrant personality.

And the speeches—oh, the speeches! Jon’s best man left the entire room laughing hysterically, and at one point, Shelly was literally on the floor from laughing so hard.

Of course, no dream wedding comes together without an amazing team of professionals, and this one was no exception. Lori from Chantilly Chic Celebrations led the charge, ensuring every detail was perfection.
